UI begins Rehabilitation of Oduduwa Road

The Rehabilitation of Oduduwa Road, University of Ibadan has kicked off just as the school Management promised earlier.

Campus Verve reports that the road from the University gate to the Vice Chancellor's car park hasn't been in the best shape of itself for some time now. This has led to many traffic congestions, splashing of water that has accumulated inside holes on the road on Pedestrians and the likes.

The Contractor handling the Rehabilitation of the Oduduwa Road expressed his intention to fully mobilize his workers and equipment to the site on Monday, 18th October, 2021 through a release by the University.

The Rehabilitation of the Oduduwa Road has called for diversion of vehicular movements to a one lane instead of the normal two lanes. This also called for the temporal shifting of the bus and car park from it's initial location to across the road.

The University management, in their release, urged the University Community to bear with them for the period of rehabilitation process.

The University Release:

REHABILITATION OF ODUDUWA ROAD

The contractor handling the rehabilitation of Oduduwa Road has expressed his intention to fully mobilise to site on Monday, 18 October, 2021.

In view of this development, members of the University community are to note as follows:

A. Total closure of inward lane from the Main Gate to the Vice-Chancellor's Car Park from 18 - 31 October, 2021; and

B. Total closure of the outward lane from the Vice-Chancellor's Car park to the Main Gate from 01 - 13 November, 2021.

While counting on the understanding and support of members of the University community, all inconveniences the closure may cause are regretted.
