"We Will Not Resume." - Again, ASUU-FG Meeting Tonight Ends in Deadlock for the third time.

The representatives of the federal government and Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) reconvened their negotiations today and continued their suspended discussions from their last meeting.

The Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, led the FG’s team while ASUU president, Biodun Ogunyemi, led the lecturers.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) insisted that they will not resume or call off the ongoing strike until their demands are met.

The Union insisted on having their preferred salary payment platform, the University Transparency Account System (UTAS) against FG's Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS).

The striking university lecturers made their stand known after a closed-door meeting with the federal government delegation, on Wednesday night, 28th October, 2020 in Abuja.
